Since 1996 Artistic Director Ted Zdybał has brought the ensemble into a new technical and creative era. With the same values as its founders, he has instilled in the youth a dedication to the professional interpretation, presentation and expression of historical and contemporary Polish cultural traditions and values. The 100 member strong ensemble is comprised of individuals who devote themselves to the cultivation of their ancestors' folk culture through song and dance. The representative group consists of students at the high school and university levels as well as young professionals; while two children's performing ensembles train and develop to continue the legacy as the future representatives of White Eagle.

Ted Zdybał is a graduate of the National Ballet School of Canada Teachers Training program. He has danced professionally with Het Internacional Folkloristisch Danstheater in Amsterdam, Holland Śląsk the National Folk Ballet of Poland as well as taught at the National Ballet of Poland in Bytom, Poland. Parallel to his performing he has been involved in numerous projects that included choreographing, recording, composing, teaching and the direction of companies in Holland, Belgium, Russia, Poland, Canada and the United States. He both taught and facilitated folklore seminars at the University of Santa Barbara. Mr. Zdybał also conducts numerous workshops and travels extensively in his ongoing research and passion for the folklore of Poland. Artistically he led The Tarnogorzanie Ensemble in Tarnowskie Gory, Poland and Krakowiak in Boston as well as produced several professional folk recordings. He has worked as the Artistic Director of Biały Orzeł (White Eagle) since 1996.
